bio | resumé

Steered by curiosity and a love of discovery, Deana has been led on a path of adventure and continuous learning. She has lived in 10 cities in 4 different countries. She raised a lion cub in Lithuania, became a licensed pilot at the age of 22, worked on a sailboat in the Florida Keys and as a ski instructor in Whistler, British Columbia. Her endeavors taught her to be at once an open observer and a tough critic of the world around her. She has learned that every person has a unique story to tell and that the interactions and conversations with the people she has met along the way often provide the most rich and insightful experiences.

When it comes to architecture, Deana is interested in social environments and public spaces that create community and allow people to learn from one another and grow together. She believes that design should encourage the interaction of people with one another as well as an interaction of people with their environment. Design should engage users, spike curiosity, and entice exploration and participation.

Deana currently resides in the Los Angeles area and is finishing up a degree in Environmental Design at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA.

Trapezium TableTrapezium Table

Trapezium Coffee Table

Trapezium is borne out of a belief that design should encourage the interaction of people with one another as well as with their environment. The table is the centerpiece around which people converge to share their stories. It encourages interaction by inviting the user to complete the design through the arrangement of the base in any number of configurations.

The base is made of welded T51 aluminum with a powder-coat finish which is topped by 1/2" clear glass with radiused corners.
