bio | resumé

Born in Lexington, Kentucky, Chase spent his early childhood watching his father and uncle remodel classic sports cars. Later as an adolescent he helped his father build contemporary pieces to furnish their family home.

After serving as a combat medic in the U.S. Army and pursuing a career as a sommelier with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts he reconsidered his place in the hospitality industry. It was his brother’s acceptance into the transportation design department and a visit to the student gallery at Art Center College of Design that re-ignited his passion for furniture and spatial design.

I’m always deconstructing and reworking everything around me. It was this constant need to construct, deconstruct, and then reconstruct form that drew me to furniture design. This critical exploration leads me to find inspiration in everything from the natural to the man-made. Notice the way a star-burst flower curls its pedals at night or something as simple as the negative space between text and you can literally fill a sketch book.

Post graduation, Chase plans to use his years of hospitality experience to help design and launch restaurant and lounge concepts that are as functional and enjoyable for staff as they are for guests. Ultimately his goals include establishing a total design works for concept and graphics to spatial and furniture design.

LeKross Coffee Table

LeKross is a simple X-shaped occasional table that uses a crisp, single line to create a seamless, weightless appearance.

The LeKross Table is a convergence of three planar surfaces that form a subtle shift between light and shadow, line and plane, while evoking both solid form and negative space. Their lightweight and minimalist aesthetic make this a set of tables that work well in multiples and can unite a large open public space.

Made of T51 aluminum, the LeKross Table is relatively lightweight, yet strong. Available in black, red or white.
